Rider statement
Liam Owens
“What an experience: my first race in the MX2 World Championship is behind me! It was exciting to finally be able to compete with the best riders in the world and see where I currently stand – and, above all, what I can take with me to improve as the EMX250 season progresses. I finished 21st in qualifying – one second faster and I would have finished 14th. In the qualifying race, I crashed on the second lap and had to start from the back of the field. That meant 25th place in the end. I came out of the starting gate badly in the first race and rode far below my capabilities overall. I finished the race in 23rd place, but my riding felt much better in the second race – until I crashed again. After that, I was no longer satisfied with my performance, but I was still able to finish in 17th place. In the end, that meant 19th place in the overall standings. A big thank you to my team and all the supporters at the track – your support meant a lot! Let’s move on to the EMX250 in Latvia!”

Mads Fredsøe
“I got off to a solid start in the first race and was able to make some strong overtaking maneuvers on the first lap. I found a good pace in the middle of the race and held on to 15th to 16th position. Towards the end, the pace dropped off a bit, but I still managed a respectable 18th place at the finish. Heavy rain set in during the break, which completely changed the conditions for the second race. Despite a mediocre start, I was able to push forward aggressively in the first few laps, quickly found my rhythm and remained consistent throughout the race. In the end, I finished in a strong 13th place – my best result so far. With 15th place overall, it was a successful weekend for me. I learned a lot, gained important race kilometers and took another step forward – I’m completely satisfied.”
