Rider statement

“This season is a real learning curve for me – and it’s quite steep. But that’s exactly what makes it exciting.
In qualifying, I was able to set a strong example with 3rd place – a great start to the weekend. Things also went well in the first race: 4th place, my best result in the EMX so far! A solid race, but of course I want more.
Unfortunately, the second run was mixed. I came from a long way back in the muddy conditions and finished the race in 11th place – but was disqualified due to a problem in the goggle lane. That was obviously disappointing, especially after such a race to catch up.
Even though I haven’t yet managed to put together a complete weekend without any setbacks, things are clearly going in the right direction. Confidence is growing, form is good – now it’s just a case of sticking with it and continuing to push!”

“I can definitely chalk up my race weekend in Lugo as a success – it was a real milestone for me! Things were already going well in qualifying: 7th place in a strong field, I was more than happy with that and knew that something was possible.
The first run was an up and down affair. I got off to a really good start – but as soon as I got into the rhythm, the race was stopped. So I had to start again. The second start wasn’t quite as strong, but I was quickly able to fight my way back to the front. In the end, I finished in a solid 6th place – I definitely needed a fighting spirit.
The second run was really exciting – rain! I got out of the gate really well and worked my way through the field quickly. When I was in 3rd place, I knew that something was up! I executed an overtaking maneuver that I’d been preparing for a long time and snatched 2nd place. After that, I even caught up with the leader, but the time was against me – victory was within my grasp, but only almost.
With second place overall, I’ve achieved my best result in the European Championship so far – I’m moving forward step by step and I’m noticing how my confidence is growing from race to race. It’s going in the right direction!”
